When BattleBots Needs to Stay Safe, They Turn to CellBlock
CellBlock is proud to be the Official Battery Safety Partner for BattleBots. When the world’s premier robot battle brand needs to ensure the safety of the high-energy batteries that power these dangerous machines, they turn to CellBlock FCS. Here are a few CellBlock products that BattleBots uses to stay safe.
1. CellBlock cabinets keep batteries safe when they’re being stored.
Our practical, durable cabinets are manufactured from aluminum and lined with CellBlock’s Fire Containment Panels. CellBlockEX provides both insulation and fire-suppression to keep people and property safe from lithium-ion battery fires.
2. FireShield Blankets provide personal protection as well as keeping bystanders safe in the event of a battery fire.
Constructed from durable flame-resistant fabrics, our fire blankets are an essential multi-purpose tool in tackling lithium-ion battery fires. The top layer is a fire-resistant Kevlar blend that helps to contain the smoke and flames, while the bottom black felt layer actively disperses heat. The fabrics are rated for temperatures over 1000ºC (1832°F).
3. Every pit crew has an EHS LIBIK (Lithium Ion Battery Incident Kit) standing by to quickly respond to battery fires.
Our wall-mounted EHS LIBIK allows for the fastest possible deployment of fire suppression tools and safety equipment.
Each kit includes:
