CellBlockEX Technology

The core technology of CellBlock’s fire-suppression solutions is CellBlockEX, an environmentally-friendly, mineral-based extinguishing agent used for fire fighting and prevention of problematic fires including metal, lithium-ion battery cells, and combustible liquids.

CellBlockEX may be used for isolated fires as a stand-alone extinguisher, and should be a component of a proactive protocol in homes and businesses. Methods of deployment include:

  • Pour directly over safely approachable fires involving lithium-ion batteries.
  • Place fire suppression pillows containing CellBlockEX over the battery, cell, or device.
  • Place a bag of CellBlockEX over the battery, cell, or device.

HazMat Drums

Cleanup after a lithium-ion battery fire presents a unique set of challenges:

  • Lithium-ion batteries have the capacity to reignite hours, or even days, after a battery fire.
  • Lithium-ion batteries are difficult to dispose of – the transport of damaged batteries is highly regulated.
