Call2Recycle solidifies partnership with CellBlock FCS.

STANDISH, ME – January 30, 2020 – CellBlock FCS, in partnership with Call2Recycle®, the nation’s largest consumer battery recycling operation, has strengthened its commitment to the safe and responsible collection and transportation of batteries and products containing them. The partnership expands Call2Recycle’s capacity for battery fire suppression and safety solutions, including a comprehensive variety of battery protection services, fire prevention products, consumer mail-back programs, hazardous material storage containers, and lithium-ion battery kits. Call2Recycle is now the official distributor of CellBlockEX® fire extinguishing media and other CellBlock products. CellBlock manufactures an extensive line of fire safety tools specifically designed for lithium battery fire suppression, secure battery storage, and safe, DOT compliant battery transportation. The partnership was initially explored in 2019 at the International Congress for Battery Recycling (ICBR). “We developed CellBlockEX technology to provide an environmentally sound solution that helps mitigate the potential for lithium-ion battery fires quickly and efficiently,” remarked Dylan Vandemark, CellBlock FCS’s VP of Product Development. “We are very pleased to partner with Call2Recycle to offer an additional layer of safety and security to customers, especially those shipping damaged/defective/recalled batteries.” “We are excited to expand our service offerings through this partnership with CellBlock FCS,” added Carl Smith, CEO and president of Call2Recycle, Inc. “Our customers want easy access and speedy service when trying to return damaged/defective/recalled batteries, some of the most unstable and dangerous batteries to store. Safely handling all types of batteries is the only way to optimize collection and recycling. CellBlock’s range of solutions helps reassure our customers that we are handling batteries in the safest possible manner.” Call2Recycle assists in the sustainable disposal of batteries and battery-powered products at their end of life, and works closely with major retailers, municipalities, and the largest battery and electronics producers in the world. Their customers require only the most reliable solutions available on the market.
