Re-certification and Replacement of LIBIK Bag Contents
The LIBIK bags, Fire Shield Blankets and CellBlockEX loose-fill material have no measurable shelf-life. However, it is recommend that a visual inspection of the pillows, goggles, masks, and gloves be performed on a regular basis. Replacement pillows and personal safety gear are available at minimal cost.Recommended Inspection Interval
It is recommended that a thorough visual inspection be performed regularly beginning 5 years from date of manufacture, provided the kits are exposed to normal commercial inflight use. This inspection may be performed by the user:- Examine the PED-Pad pillows for signs of wear to the fabric or for leaks of the loose-fill material. Replacement of the fire suppression pillows is recommended if any leaks or wear is detected. Contact your distributor or CellBlock FCS for replacement PED-Pads at minimal cost.
- Verify for signs of weakness or damage to the exterior.
- Verify that all contents are present and are in good working order.
- Re-install a tamper evident tab upon completion of inspection and replacement of equipment in the bag.
Conditional Lifetime Free Replacement
CellBlock FCS offers a complete unit replacement of any LIBIK that has been exposed to a thermal runaway.
